Happy Gotcha Day, Again!!!
This year Jaina turned 18, graduated from high school and will be starting college in the fall. The years flew by in the blink of an eye and we have enjoyed, and continue to enjoy, every second of being her parents. The teen years were tumultuous and to be expected. Every kid was different, but they all came out of it in one piece. It's no lie that parenting is the hardest job you will ever love. We do our very best and, even though we may not get it right sometimes, we learned from each kid what worked and what didn't. We hope that we were okay and not too crazy! lol!
Jaina,
I hope you had fun growing up in our family. You have so many exciting paths before you now. Raising you has been such a beautiful adventure. I have no words to describe the strength of my love for you. I wish you a lifetime of opportunities, the freedom to be who you want to be, and the courage to be your best advocate. I know you will find your way. God chose you for us because he has plans for you. He made sure you got the family you needed to continue living the life he envisioned for you. You are our little jewel so don't be afraid to shine brightly. We will still be here rooting for you, as will your sisters. Believe in yourself always. You are strong and fiercely independent still. I know you will succeed.
Love,
Mom
